How to increase your odds of having a successful home buying experience.

We all want to be successful when we purchase our home but there are a few things that we need to take into account.
1. Just because you are pre-qualified for $400,000 does not mean that you have to buy a $400,000 home. It may fit your budget better to buy a $250,000 home. You must know what works best for your finances and will help you sleep better at night.
2. Do some research to see if there are programs out there that can assist you in your loan. Go to HUD.gov and see what your state may offer in way of assistance.
3. Budget for furniture. This is an expense that can be costly and yet most people forget all about it.
4. Decide on how long you plan to stay. Is this your forever home? Consider the age of the appliances, roof, AC when deciding this. A good Realtor can help guide you through this process.
